Ghanaian President blames Nigeria for irregular power supply in their country
Ghanaian President, John Mahama, during am Eid-el-fitr speech, blamed irregular power cuts in his country on Nigeria due to the delays in the delivery of crude oil from Nigeria to power thermal plants in Ghana, due to the activities of Niger Delta Avengers, who have been blowing up oil and gas pipelines in the Niger Delta.
The Niger Delta Avengers ,yesterday, blew up three Chevron manifolds at Diogbolo, near Dibi, Warri Local Government Area of Delta State, using controlled explosive devices.

“We are taking steps every day to ensure that Ghana has security when it comes to power.
Mahama said:
“We have recently suffered some generational problems. I held a stakeholders’ meeting with all those involved in the power sector. Because of sabotage in Nigeria on the terminals, crude oil that we ordered last month has not arrived; and so, it has created some generational problem for us."
However, he assured Ghanaians that things will return to normal very soon.

Court sacks Governor Ikpeaz

A Federal High court has ordered Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state to vacate his seat – Ikpeazu was ordered to vacate his office over the account of fake tax returns prior to the December 2014 governorship election in Abia state – The court orders INEC to immediately issue a certificate of return to Uche Ogah, who polled the second highest number of votes in the PDP primary A Federal High Court in Abuja has sacked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state for allegedly submitting false information to his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, ahead of the party’s governorship primary in December 2014. In his judgement on Monday, June 27, Justice Okon Abang ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately issue a certificate of return to the plaintiff, Uche Ogah, who polled the second highest number of votes in the primary, The Punch reports. Sahara Reporters is reporting that Justice Okon Abang asked the INEC to cease the certificate of return issued to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as he was never qualified to run for the party primaries in the PDP as a guber candidate. According to the report, the judge also ordered the Chief Judge of the state to swear in, Uche Ogah, his opponent in the Decmeber 2014 gubernatorial election in state as the substantive governor of Abia state. Bauchi uncovers 6,065 ghost workers on payroll

The Bauchi State Government said it had discovered 6,065 ghost workers on its payroll.
The discovery followed the workers’ verification the state government compelled all civil servants to do since January this year.
The state Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, disclosed this during an interactive session with members of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Bauchi State Council, at the Government House, Bauchi, on Sunday.
He admitted that there were lapses in the last rounds of the exercise in the state.
He said there were two set of errors in the last phase of the verification. The errors, he said, were human mistake which he apologised for, while he described the other as “deliberate sabotage.”
Abubakar said the state government was already using administrative rule to investigate workers involved in the sabotage, saying those found guilty would be dealt according to the law.
“During the exercise, we discovered 6,065 ghost workers on the payroll of the Bauchi State Government. This number could not be rated as small because even if you get 10 ghost workers, the exercise will be worth it as they will be taking much money illegally.
“There were lapses during the exercise and they were continuous. Don’t forget; the forces that endangered this phenomenon of ghost workers are very strong forces. They have been entrenched over time and a lot of money is being siphoned out of the coffers of the government.
