Woman kills her children with poison following a disagreement with husband

Winnie Daraja is locked up at the Webuye Police Station in Kenya, after she killed her children following an argument with her husband. On Tuesday, September 29, the 23-year-old mother of two from Shibanga, Kakamega North, laced queen cakes with rat poison and fed five year old Peris and three-year-old, Tairus, before taking some herself.

Neighbours said that they found the two children writhing in pain on the floor and rushed them to Webuye District Hospital where they died.

Art thief’s body found in London Canal

A middle-age man with a tattoo of a lizard or gecko on his right shoulder was found dead in London’s picturesque Regent’s Canal, his body tied to a shopping cart and at first, his identity was unknown.

On Thursday, the police said they had solved at least part of the mystery, when fingerprints taken from the hand of the decomposed body showed that he was Sebastiano Magnanini, 46, an Italian carpenter living in South London and one of the men behind the brazen theft almost 22 years ago of a masterpiece from an unguarded church in his native Venice.
